Whole-house renovation, loft conversion and rear extension, Wimbledon

    Wimbledon, South West London, SW19

Delivered for a property developer preparing the house for resale, this 25-week Wimbledon project combined a complete internal refurbishment with a new rear extension and loft conversion. The property was stripped back throughout, including replacement windows, before the layout was rebuilt around modern family life. We redesigned the circulation and room proportions to make better use of every floor, retain generous ceiling height and create practical storage. At ground level, the rear extension forms a bright open-plan kitchen and dining space connected to the garden, supported by a separate fitted utility room. Upstairs, the loft conversion adds valuable living space, a shower room and carefully integrated eaves storage. The completed house balances generous, light-filled rooms with the practical details a family needs, creating a coherent, market-ready home from front elevation to loft.

Bluebird Spaces delivered a full strip-out and whole-house renovation, a rear kitchen and dining extension, a loft conversion with shower room, replacement windows, bespoke storage, a separate utility room and complete internal finishes.

The full programme took 25 weeks from the start of construction to completion. That programme covered the rear extension, loft conversion and renovation of the existing house as one coordinated project.

The layout and circulation were reconsidered across every floor to improve usable space, retain ceiling height and add practical storage. The rear extension created a bright open-plan kitchen and dining room connected to the garden, while the loft added further living space and a shower room.

Yes. A separate fitted utility room was included so laundry and household storage could sit away from the main open-plan kitchen and family space.

The project was delivered for a property developer preparing the house for resale. The design focused on practical family living, coherent finishes and efficient use of the available space.
